Can anyone help me out how to bypass my avic n1 step by step? I have a BMW M3 05 BTW... I'd really appreciate it.

I need an instruction how to bypass my avic n1 on my bmw m3  I have zero knowledge on electronics stuff... I don't even know what grounding means..lol ..so please help me out on this.

Take the GREEN wire from the AVIC-N1 harness ( the one that is suppose to go to the emergency hand brake ) and attach it the a clean metal part of the car. This will make the unit think that the e-brake is engaged.

Hey Jeff, Ihave a good one for you.  my N1 is an awesome sustem, but I am US MIL stationed in germany  <now>...how can I get the European disc to work on the N1 system???

Pioneer Tech support is telling me to buy the AVCI-X1 series systems - now that backwards as heck!  Any clues???

Well if you can't follow simple bypass directions, or search for that matter, I feel much safer knowing that your indash dvd player will not work while driving(or parked for that matter).

Wow..I'm 100% more comfortable when I'm driving my show car, not to mention if I have friends in the car with me.
I'm even more scared that your installing a fairly complicated unit(more complex then a basic headunit) in a rather high end car...its no Dodge Neon...)Anyone want to take bets on what fried first..the unit or the car? lol In all honestly bro..best of luck. Personally if I was you I'd consider professional installation especially for this unit.
