am in process of buying 02 Navigator that has an Alpine CVA 1003 with and also 2 other Alpine DVD  screens and one player in the back of it.  I am new to some of this so hopefully I dont sound to stupid. (to late now eh)

Anyway it has the Navagation system installed and active on it, is there a way to update it with new streets etc or does it do it already?

Is there a monthly cost associated with this navagation to operate?

I also have Sirius radio that I want to install into this car what do I need to make this happen.  I want to run it from the Alpine 1003 if possible and not have the Sirius sportster deck on my dash anywhere.  Is that possible and is the CVA satillate ready?

And if so will the channels appear on the screen and the scores etc like it does now on my sirius deck.

The guy claims he spent like $10,000 on this install with the navagation and the screens etc.  I dont know if that is accurate or not but just browsing through your fourm I can tell you guys know what your talking about and can let me know.

Great FORUM and thanks in advance for your help.

Mike

mike-
The navigation can be upgraded with newer dvds, the newest rev is 2.0 nvd-a221, navigation is free to use.
sirius does make a sirius tuner that plugs into the headunit sir-alp1 that will allow you to control it from the deck and view the chanels.
There are 10 types of people in the world, ones that understand binary and ones that dont.
