cavalier rear speaker problems

The wires you should use are tan and brown for the left rear and lt blue and blue for the right rear.  The dark wire are positive on each one.Do it right the first time

Sounds as if your factory system is amplified.  The only way you can improve your low end will be to replace your deck and bypass the factory amp to the speakers.Do it right the first time

Raydawg is on the money. Your particular car has a monsoon "upgraded" stereo. Bascially is what he said. You have factory speakers with amps to power them. There is not way around it then just re-wiring it to bypass the amp all together. If you just use two of the four wires, you will still be going through the amp which is creating your problem. I think you ment 6x9's, not 9x9's, but either way, you mite want to return your speakers if you can. If you are looking for low end bass to come from those speakers, its not going to happen. IMO audiobahns component speakers are less that satisfactory and create a very flat sound. Try looking at some other brands if you want to. But either way, you are going to have to bypass the Monsoon amplifiers.

 O.K.  Then I guess my next question is; Where can I find the amplifiers that power them? I don't want to return the speakers cause I'm trying to do an all Audiobahn system.
