The 4 pin data plug is where your power is. It's pin 1 either red or blue depending on the revision. are you using it in d2d mode?
i've used the fortin can-sl2 many times before (dlpk is a rebranded fortin) and the white 14pin plug can be plugged in backwards. If so the car will not start.
