I have a viper 550 ESP and have a shock sensor currently installed.  All of my pins are taken from the alarm brain and I need to install the proximity sensor. I asked around and it seems I need to splice the wires some how?

Can someone tell me in detail  how to do this so I won't fry my sensors?

Sorry, If I forgot something I am new to this site.

Isn't the shock sensor a plug & play ? is this a DEI shock sensor or a universal ?

Nope, not yet.

I did run the proximity sensor in line with the shock sensor though.

I called the alrm place that put my alarm in and they said to run the wires together. blue to blue, red to red, green to green, black to black.

Now my problem is, the alrm doesnt trigger no more, it just warns away.

Help please....

nope, I ran the proximity sensor inline with the shock sensor as the alarm store told me to.

I ran red to red, green to green, blue to blue, black to black.

Now my alarm won't trigger. All I get is the warn away. No full siren?

Please Help...

I have been told to install a diode on each wire...a one amp diode.

How would I do that...what part of the wires ( the prox sensor, the shock sensor, or the wires that lead back to the brain?)

How do I actually install the diodes..I know there are two ways, the anode and the cathode.

Thanks

hey there,

you need to install diodes on your two trigger wires... not the power and ground wires.  so you will want to put them on the blue and green wires.  just cut these two wires and put in the diodes... make sure that the side with the stripe on it faces the sensor.  you will need a total of 4 diodes(2 for blue and 2 for green.  anymore questions just ask!

If your ears aren't bleeding... it's not loud enough.
