kit for a 2002 Cadillac Deville? Anyone have any ideas? The metra 99-2004 looks close but they are hard to find. Any help would be appreciated.

allllllll custom...baby! all custom. no dash kit for '95 Deville...probably not one for yours, either.

and there's a built in amplifier that you'lll need to somehow defeat...go into trunk and tap into speaker wires from the amp...and you might even need a little 4 channel after market amp to get all the speakers working again...or maybe a 2 channel amp and use the decks built in amp for about 6 channels total.

yeah, there's at least 10 speakers in that car...tweeters + mids in each door...plus 6x9's in the rear deck.

if you do go to the harness...don't get intimidated...there were two harnesses on the amp in the '95 we did...one harness had the left speakers...the other harness had the right speakers...5 speakers per harness...and all speaker wires are right next to one another in pairs...and be careful if you try a pair and get no sound...reverse polarity and try again as it might be the tweeter (which has a cap on the positive speaker terminal).

if i were you, judging from expierience i would say forget about the stock speakers and the stock amp entirely. aftermarket is almost always better than o.e. i'd hardwire every speaker in the car and decide which speakers id use and what locations are the best, or build some pods. what i would do for the dash is make a template out of cardboard or something rigid enough, note the mounting points and figure out how to execute attaching your custom template you made. then, buy a metra "installerworks" kit or something like that and carve out the plastic to whatever shape you need for however much space and whatever size din. then you could either paint it or cover it with woodgrain, leather, vinyl, etc. it comes out nice just take your time. i own an 88 eldorado as my system car and im pushing near 5,000 w, so i did alot of electrical work on it. it can get tricky but if you have a shop manual its a lot easier.

Bestkits (www.bestkits.com) makes a dash kit for 96-99 devilles. You might be able to modify one of these so it fits.
