Here's what you do.  Connect the foot brake wire to the foot brake.  Ground the park brake and connect a toggle switch in line to it.    To cycle the unit, press and hold the footbrake, cycle the toggle on then off, now release the foot brake.   With this set up, you can still display the warning message by hitting the toggle switch if needed.  Cops will want to see this message if you are pulled over.

yea you could do all of that and when you slam into the back of a car or run someone over you can sit there and see yourself on the tv show cops.

Guys, a much easier way is the Pacific Accessory Co. Model TR-7. It's a prewired bypass that works with ALL Alpine screens. We're an Alpine dealer.
