Need Some Pro Help Here

Got a question for yo'all. Have a 2004 GMC Sierra truck here with the Passlock II system and traced the wires off the ignition barrel to an ORANGE tube with two 22 gauge WHITE wires in it like the old VATS used to have. Use the GMDL-BP to bypass the system and it doesn't work properly all the time. I've tried many different things:

• 1. Used both the ground out when running wire and the OEM disarm wired in parallel to the BROWN wire on the GMDL-BP ,cranks but no start
• 2. Grounded the BROWN wire on the GMDL-BP straight to chassis and tried to remote start and still cranks but no start.
• 3. Tried using a PLXR on this truck but the Passlock wires are not the same as the ones on other GM vehicles. This only has 2 WHITE wires in the plug.
• 4. The GMDL-BP did work on two attempts but failed on about 20. The truck runs fine with the key in the ignition and when I try to remote start the truck while it's running with the key, the truck stays running with the key removed. The wiring for the truck is all correct and the tach signal is also good as I grabbed it at the injector.

The unit is the 1WAM-S from Compustar and just wanted to know what your take was on the ORANGE tubed wire with the 2 WHITE wires inside the tube. I would have bypassed it with the old 2 relay bit from days of old, but I haven't done one for such a long time and these WHITE wires threw me for a loop considering that I was looking for a YELLOW, BLACK or WHITE wire.

Hire a kid to walk out and start the damn truck, problem solved:) Actually I know you know how to hook up passlock, obviously the wires are just deciding to play hide and go seek with you. I am sure if you look again you will find them there.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I need to know why the GMDL-BP is not working properly for this truck . I have installed alot of these inthe past with no problems bypassing the Passlock II system. I would bypass the old way with the relay and resistors, but I all cleaned out of resistors until my next shipment comes in next week ( damn Dodge vehicles !! )

Ravendarat........... I wish I could just hire the kid to do it, but the customer is from the US and I'd have to get the kid a green card and pay him in US dollars ! Too much hassles  Next time I get the truck I'll have to take a closer look and see if they even come down the steering column or if they just go straight over the steering column into the dash.
