Installed a mars 22 RS all wires are correct.   Used a Omega gm databus bypass and it programed but every time i start the truck by RS it shuts down in 3 sec.  Security right  well even with the key in the ignition it still shuts down after 3 sec.  i tryed 2 bypasses and 2 RS units.  Im stumped anyone got any ideas

That is passlock II the key in the cylinder has no effect, only when the key is turned to the start position.Use a tach wire its way more reliable.

The key in the ignition in the run position but engine not running, Try and remote start it and it will more than likely start and  stay running. Or else try  start the car with the key and then hit start on the remote and then remove the keys and if engine stays running it is Passlock problem. Passlock ll does not have a chip in the key if the key turns in the tumbler it will work.

Thankyou

Murray

What do you have the BLACK / Yellow wire hooked to from MARS 22??
Did you set the switch to Smart Start?
Did you adjust the Smart Adjustment to Blink while running?
Also be sure the TACH Adjustment is turned all the way down if using Smart Start

black and yellow on constant wire i was short of time.   ill hook it to white on the coil but i think its a bypass issue not  a tach prob myself.  Omegas smart tach is pretty reliable.   i had it on smart tach i tryed 2 units also .  I fell retarded cause the bypasses are so easy to program.

10 - 4............It does sound like a ByPass issue
Voltage Sense is reliable on most vehicles, but Tahoe, Yukon & Trailblazer have been a few of the GM Vehicles that I have found the TACH needs to be hook - up
