Hey guys,

Anyone free for a bit to help me install the DEI Viper 791XV into my Pontiac TransAm? It is a 1993, I have the printed wire location out, just wanting to check some things with someone who's more knowledgable than I am @ alarm installs. My AIM name is MxRacer476. I am online now, and have the laptop next to the car, so IM me if your free to help! It's mainly just dbl checking Relay Connections, and 5-Wire Door lock. Also the 791XV is a Remote Start, but I have a T56, so can I still use it, the car is never in gear when shut off, it's always in Neutral, and parking brake applied. That's the only other "?" I have. Any help you guys give I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could help me out with the Alarm, and sesnors I'm putting into the car. I will include a list of the Alarm, and sensors below, as well as a diagram of the relays what my post layout is like. Then if you could show me a diagram of the setup like a drawing of the wires from each sensor, and like connect the dots to where they go, and what color wire in the car they attatch to I would appreciate it...I have 3 relays as well...Power wire will be a 10 ga. wire...Will the ground need to be the same, or 12, or 16 ga. sufficient since that's all that's coming out of the brain of the unit? Also if I soder in extensions to reach some wires, what size wire should I use, of the 3 listed above. As far as the 3 mini sirens, and 2 nero sirens do I wire the 3 in series, and the 2 nero's in a series, or what? Hopefully your drawing or diagram can help out. Also my 530T I guess didn't come with the papers for it to show ya what harness goes where...

Your taking on a HUGE project here with limited skills according to your post. My only suggestion is to bring this to a professional and get a system designed for a manual transmission vehicle. Your not going to get too much help on this from this site as it's been a big issue with other member's about this topic.

The car is under a bumper to bumper build, no motor, or anything is in it...the inteiror is gutted getting fiberglassesed so I can't take it anywhere....

A few member have been in touch, one was Whitey somethin on AIM, but he told me he would help me on Thursday night, and hasn't been in touch with me since. So I was lookin for someone else, I'm kinda upset regarding the whole thing, because I told him I would come home if he would help there car is 97 miles away from where I stay for school, so I drove home basically for nothing now, since he hasn't gotten in touch with me, and I head back for school in the morning...

So if there is anyone willing to help me I would appreciate it, I don't want some tech installing this, and not giving a shhh for painted interior pieces, that are treated like body panels that I have basecoat/clearcoated....So I would appreciate it if someone can help. Obviously I'm a novice in alarm yes, but not in stereo, and other aspects of a car....So I'm not completely in the dark on this, I just want to make sure I get the connections right...

like verlosity motors has said you are taking on a huge projrct with limited knoldge. but if your dead set on doing it yourself. as i understand you situation with the car being unable to move. then i would start with small questions breaking that whole big question down into sections. start with one curcuit your having questions on a be specific in your wording.

the relay you posted, 87a ,rests at what ever polarity you have hooked up to 30 then when the relays coil is energized it will goto 87and complete the curcuit you are trying to control (that you have severed). the relays coil needs a positive and a negitive to actuvate the relay.(get it to pull). by apllying pos. to 85 and neg. to 86 or visa versa. they can be switched or constant to one depending on the applacation and the other will be how the relay gets commanded on.

That Whitey guy I was talkin to told me I not to install anything till I am ready to install all of it, all I have done is mount the brains, and the sirens, supplied a 12V wire, and ground into the cabin. It's not the fact of not bein able to take it anywhere cuz the motor is out of it, but more the fact of not wanting to with the interior installed since it will be painted, and fiberglassed, for someone to crack, or gouge the paint, because some tech was careless with an install.

yes it would be better to do it all at once but not nessary because the car ain't going no where. if you want keep track of the posts. you still havnt asked a real question. if your lookin for use to hook this thing up for you in one post i cant help. maybe someone else can. but untill you get some more specific questions i cant give you no advice.
