I recently installed a 654T into a 2005 Acura MDX. Before it left, i programmed a few options w/ the program button.

A few days later, i had to change a setting, but the alarm will not go in to program mode. When you press the program button, Nothing, and eventually, the 2-way transmitter beeps @ you.  I can program the unit w/ the bitwriter however.

Secondly, I enabled passive arming, and the unit arms while driving, regardless of the settings.   I have a feeling the vehicle is not sensing it is running, or on, and trying to re-arm itself.

Could there be anything else i am missing,  which wire tells the alarm the vehicle is running?

any help would be appreciated.

The ignition wire....
You may also have turned armed while driving on. But, if it won't go into programming, check your ignition to the brain, followed by the doorpin.
