Hello everyone, I'm new here and this will be my first remote start install. I'm have a strong mechanical background, I'm just a little week in the 12 volt part. I have all the tools required such as multimeter, test light, soldering iron, etc. Basically what I need to know is what wire goes to what wire. So here goes I'll list the wires from the viper and were I think they go. Please correct me when needed.
Viper main harness, 9 pin connector
1 Lt GREEN/ black (-) factory alarm disarm. Omit
2 grn/white.       (-) fact alarm rearm.     Omit
3 yellow. (+) ignition out (to alarm). Don't know?
4 WHITE/ blue.      (-) activation input.      Don't know?
5 orange. (-) ground when locked/anti grind. Don't know?
6 brown (-) horn out.       Black wire in steering column
7 RED / white.       (-) trunk release.       Omit
8 black. Ground.       
9 white.  (+/-) light flash output. Brown wire in light switch
Viper door lock 3 pin
1 blue. (-) unlock.    BLACK/ red in kick panel
2 blank
3 green.  (-) lock.      Lt blue in kick panel
Viper remote start 6 pin
1 red.    (+)(30a) high current 12v input.   Direct to positive bat term
2 pink/white. Output to 2nd inhibition/acc circuit. Don't know?
3 red.    (+)(30a) high current 12v input. Red in ingnition harness
4 orange. Output to acc circuit.    Orange in ingnition harness
5 purple. Output to starter.        Purple in inginition harness
6 pink.   Output to primary ingnition. Pink in ingnition harness
Satellite harness 4 pin
Omit
Remote start 5 pin
1 BLACK/ white. (-) neutral safety input.    Ground
2 viloet/white tach. Tach terminal on distributor
3 brown.       (+) brake shutdown input.   White on brake switch
4 gray.        (-) hood pin switch.    Included hood pin switch
5 blue/white. (-) defogger.        Omit
If anyone can help on the ones I don't know or if I have some wrong it would be greatly appreciated. Also if I need to add relays, or anything else p!ease let me know.

Very good research.  viper 4105v in 89 Chevy 1500 -- posted image.  Only issue will be the power door locks.

   Note :  5 wire reverse polarity on the 2 door models. Positive trigger on the 4 door models.

Viper remote start 6 pin

1 red.    (+)(30a) high current 12v input.   Direct to positive bat term     OK  ( might be two Reds in ignition switch harness )
2 pink/white. Output to 2nd inhibition/acc circuit. Don't know?   Not Used
3 red.    (+)(30a) high current 12v input. Red in ingnition harness         OK
4 orange. Output to acc circuit.    Orange in ingnition harness OK
5 purple. Output to starter.        Purple in inginition harness      OK ( might be Yellow )
6 pink.   Output to primary ingnition. Pink in ingnition harness              OK

Satellite harness 4 pin

Omit

Thanks for your help. It is a 2 door, I've ordered the door module. After doing a little more research I see that its pretty common to put both 12v constant wires on the red wire in the ingnition harness. I just didn't want to overload it that's why I listed to battery, but now I think I will just tie them in together. Well when the module comes in I wire it up and see what happens. Thanks again.

Thanks Kreg357, finally had some spare time to install this kit. With the help you gave me in the above post everything went perfect. This was my first time installing a remote start and keyless entry. Started this morning at about 7 finished up around lunchtime. Thanks again.

Hi Kreg357, I hope you don't mind helping me out too. I want to install the same remote starter on my 1989 Chevy Suburban. I have a 4 door though. I am following just about everything in the post (thanks Hondo1 for all your research). I just don't follow the issue with the power door locks and the need for a Directed 451M Door Lock Module. I don't know what that is, but I will order it. Can you explain what the 451M Door Lock Module does and how I should install it? You also lost me with regard to 5 wire reverse polarity on the 2 door models and Positive trigger on the 4 door models. I am not sure that I need to know exactly what that all means, but if you could give me a little insight I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Put simply, since your Suburban is a 4 door you will need POS (+) triggering of the locks.
Assuming you have a DEI unit this only produces a NEG (-) lock trigger thus you need to convert this to POS (+). the 451 is a twin relay door lock module and wired as per instructions it plugs straight into your DEI unit.

As Howie said...   viper 4105v in 89 Chevy 1500 -- posted image.

On the two door models, GM set them up with a door lock system that requires the Type C ( 5 wire reverse ) wiring method to

allow the aftermarket unit to control the door locks.  On the 4 door models, GM went with a different system.  On the 4 door
models, a straight +12V pulse will control the door locks.  The Directed 451M module can be configured to handle either

Most newer aftermarket R/S systems output a simple low current (-) lock pulse.  While this works fine for most newer vehicles,

your older GM vehicle needs a healthy (+) 12 volt pulse to actuate the locks.  Follow the Type A wire diagram with the 451M
module and connect the appropriate wires to the vehicle.  As Howie II mentioned, if you are using a Directed product ( Viper,
Python, Avital, etc ), it has the correct connector to plug right into the units' locks connector.
