Hi to one and all . I am about to install a Viper 5904 into my BmwX1 2011 manual transmission ( E84 ) and require some assistance on the following points.
1. I am unable to locate the (-) Handbrake status input in the wiring harness H1 H2 or H3
2. As i am going to use D2D with the DBALL from Xpresskit i will need a KIBMW2 module for the remote start , does anybody know if this module is the same as the KIBMW ( without the 2 ) ? I can only find KIBMW on any websites for sale.
Please note i am in the UK and i am having to source all parts from the states as they are not on sale over this side of the pond.
Thanks in advance

Get your by-pass and BMW specific from Fortin in Canada, they provide install diagrams and their product works better.
I don't know if you are an amateur /DIYer or a pro, if you're an amateur, I hope to god that you know a techie or two in your local BMW stealership, because otherwise, one mistake at £150 per hour....

OK spent the last hour looking up fortin . the module they supply Does not cover the BMWX1 just the 1 3 5 series X5 X6 and mini cooper. this appears to be the same module that Dircted Electronics supply (KIBMW), ( same manufacturer !! ). looks like i will have to contact fortin for vehicle application list of the INT-BMW2 .

'Fraid not, North London and I don't really get involved anymore except as a consultant.
That pin is BLACK/ white also known as Neutral Safety wire.
All the current BMW's with PTS are the same, an X1 = a 1 Series, that's how I treated them when I was still working.

the fortin piece will work with the x1, we took one on last week and it worked fine. fortin only lists vehicles that work once they have actually tested their products in the car, whereas some xpresskits modules lists "they work" but as install comes around, its a PITA doing diagnostics for the installer.

Thanks Ted ,    I assume you used the int-BMW-2 ?   Did you use the EVO ALL or the EVO Can with this , using D2D ?

I have just ordered the Viper and a Directed KIBMW  . Iam having them delivered to a colleague in the States as i cannot get the parts delivered over here !!!!!   Maybe i will order the fortin parts as well and use the Directed parts on a friends 5 series, to be safe.

Any info or points of note would be grately received.

Thanks again Dave

Thanks for that ted. Is the D2D not that reliable then or do you just prefer to w2w .
