Not to sound like I am trying to sell you mine but the Viper 5900 is a world apart from the Compustar. I currently have the 5900 I go through a new battery every other week, never been close to half a mile let alone a mile range. Also, all the features the p2w comes with makes it worth it. Even the p2w900 is better then the 5900. Temp sensor, remote paging, 2 remotes... Just something to keep in mind.

thanks guys i think ill try a little longer to find a p2wssr. i love my 2wss and it looks like i need to take a little longer to read up on the p2wssr i'm just afraid i'll get my mind set on it and not be able to find one that i can install myself.

I'm on the market for one as well. I've been looking at a lot of different brands, but i keep comming back to the compustar... i just don't want to pay for the install on a premium line.
