Anybody on here ever have issues getting these to work 100%? I did a 791xv (Viper) on a 00 Grand Cherokee today, and it took forever for me to get it to program. I even opened it up and put the board next to the tumbler. I got it to start and stay running, but every now and then it stutters like I got no tach, then it starts on the second try.
Any ideas?

Tried that initially, but moved it to the coil wires (tan/orange) after no successful starts on the injector wires.

it could be a defective brain. on viper units there is a jumper on the side of a unit to set the tach threshold. you migh have to leave it at low.

May I ask where exactly the Coil wires are run? Do they as well as the injector wires run inside the jeep or both located in the engine?

on some cars the tach can be found inside. they will always be accessable in the engine bay.

I caught mine at the passenger side by the valve cover towards the firewall. There are several Tan/ wires there in that bundle of wires in loom bout 1.5 inches thick. As far as up the yazoo goes, mine is exit only so generally speaking only one thing up in mine, how bout you howie II?
