I've resenting bought and had a friend install ( Who is a professional installer with his own shop) the DEI 569T  Onto my wife's 06 Civic EX auto.

Everything went fine and it works perfectly except we dont like the (Parking light flash). The wire for the parking light flash is currently not hooked up and we were wondering if there is any way to make the parking lights NOT flash but instead come on Steady when the remote start is active.

Any input would be helpful, Thanks!

You could use the status output wire to activate the parking lights instead of that annoying flashing output. The down side is that the parking lights will not really 'confirm' but just turn on any time the remote start is active.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

It should just be programming. For whatever reason dei likes to default the parking light output to flashing but it can be set to constant. It would be done either with a bit writer or by using the valet switch. It will be listed in the install manual.

I'll ask him about that. we did do something with a relay and the bypass didnt like it causing it not to start. dunno if your talking about the same but I'll ask him, thanks

Ya we called into directtech and everything and they said that model does not have it in the programming to be switched

That model even though labeled as Hornet is really not much more than a BOA system. It is what I personally consider low end product. It has no real programmable options to speak of, it has the jumpers you cut for 'options'.

Yep, so there is no way to program it right?

I will ask him about the status wire you told me to try earlier and see what he says

just talked to him, he said that he tried a relay, then also tried wiring parking lights to the status output wire and the bypass or starter wouldnt let the car start cause of that..

I dont know what else to do, Besides not plugging in the wire.

I can think of no reason he would not be able to use the status output to trigger relays to power both the bypass and the parking lights.

Its not that hard. Your friend just doesn't know how to use diodes to isolate circuits.
