window goes down when door opens

That's because the switch goes to ground to complete the interior light circuit, if you don't understand this you should take your Subie to a dealer and get them to do it for you.

why put the positive then? remember its positive when pushed in and negative when out.

i think i figure out for you     use a relay    (86) 12v    85 to door pin switch   (30) to ground and (87a)  to 530 up       this is to go up when the door is down   to make the window go down conect the door pin switch to the       530      hope this will help

Youre the Man I think this my work. But alittle confused about connecting tehe relay to the 530 with the pin switch. could you post a diagram with just the relay connected to the 530. you said to make the window go down connect the pin switch to the 530 but what wire on the 530 to connect to?

The reason your door switch shows 12 volts when pushed in is because your meter's red probe is seeing the voltage at the other end of the wire, which is coming from the BCM or from the interior lights circuit. Any normal (-) door trigger vehicle will read the same - you can use the door pin wires directly to trigger the 530 if you so desire.C Renner's Auto Electronix

Well Heres That diahram Using the door Pin as the activator Switch. This is with out using the Relay as mentioned by jmsounds. i will drwa up another diagram and post it. thnaks all please note that the yellow wire is actually the white (2/2 to down switch 1) and all wires are as is on the 530 and the grey (2/5) is not being used in this diagram. Is it correct?????????????

Here is that diagram using the relay that was recomended I think this may work better and i dont have to F with the door pin too much. I hope you guys looked at it and approve .  I will wire this into the car as soon as i get the dei530T delivered to me. and let you all know how it works.
