I don't exactly think that a setup with 15 cubes of airspace for a subwoofer is meant for SQ, do you?
Why not?
Exactly...
A set of 18" TLs that I helped build, occupied well OVER 15 cubes... EACH! Those go FLAT to 12Hz. Larger enclosures (in most alignments) oftentimes will be FAR more musical than small boxes...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Well, most subs that are meant for large enclosures like that would generally  take massive amounts of power, or be in an spl system. That's just what I think. what to do with 15 cubes - Page 2 -- posted image.

Well, that's simply not correct.  Large enclosures produce very low frequency response, not necessarily high SPL and no they don't require large amounts of power.  Your logic is like measuring length with an ohmmeter.

Well of course not, why would an enclosure require power? The subwoofers is what I was talking about requiring a lot of power.

And DYohn was referring to "enclosure" as "system". System includes box, plus driver.
Large "systems" produce very low frequency response, not necessarily high SPL and no they don't require large amounts of power.

OK, now you're trying to split hairs.  Your statement was that subs in large enclosures = needs more power.  To this I said BS.  Indeed, depending on the speaker you choose, a larger enclosure might increase their efficiency so they would require less power for the same output levels.  And if you are talking about the Maelstroms I linked to, they will work exceedingly well with any amount of power you want to throw at them, from 10 watts to 1000 watts,.

That's completely true. Additionally, neither do I, and I can promise you those are fantastic drivers, and for the money, NOTHING will touch them...
