The Topkick's use a positive pulse door lock system. You will find a connector in either kick panel which has the lock/unlock wires in it. White is 12 volts + unlock and light blue is 12 volts + lock.

Topkick is a GM truck, literally. Think the Classic, less data. Take down some plastic, and it looks very very familiar inside (little different under the hood, mind you).
Not too bad at all to work on, you can pretty much stand and lean in a little......
Wherever I go, that is where I end up......

Oh, forgot to ask, is there any factory alarm issues I will need to worry about?  I'd imagine on a truck like this it would be pretty basic, but you never can tell for certain...

I've not heard of a GM vehicle in the past 15 years with no keyless entry that had a factory alarm...however in the unlikely event you should be able to find a lt. green wire near those lock/unlock wires that will go to (-) when the key is turned in the driver's door to unlock.
