now i am not sure if this is the right place for this post, but i need help and you guys seem to know about box sizes and everything, so I have a 96 eclipse, it has a sunroof and doesn't have full frame windows, so I am already losing some air pressure, but i want to know if someone can help me with dimensions with a box for this car strictly for spl, i really don't care about sq, but i have 2 12" audiobahn 1200q subs that are 700watt rms and 1400 watt peak, all i need is for someone to help me out with a SPL box, i don't want any feedback that i should get something else, or anything like that, all i need is help with a perfect box for SPL, and i also don't have much free time on a computer so i cant really d/l a program and use that, if someone could please help me!!! thanks a lot. 1996 mitsubishi eclipse spl - Page 2 -- posted image.

The cool thing about that program is that it has the port noise chart.  Keep your port noise below 110f/sec and the noise will be minimized.  The other option is you can use flared ports that have a very wide input and outpur horn to minimize the air noise.  You can still use the program to determine the port length, then transfer that length to the instructions with the flared port.  The overall length of the flared port will be different, usually longer, because of the nature of the port, and it's effects on the tuning.

sorry bud but that amp is not 4k watts...it really is more of around 500 watts maybe.
The PERFECT SPL BOX takes many many many trial and errors to find...you will have to build many many enclosures and test to see what is best

I tried to tell him that, as if *I* know what I'm talking about... He didn't seem to think my opinion was worth the pixels occupied.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
