Hello,

Didn't see a listing in the member's download section. Just looking for alarm wiring information for a 2009 Honda Fit Sport with a manual transmission. I got wiring information from another source, but it didn't include any info for a (-) trunk trigger wire, so I'm looking to confirm the list I have and hopefully find info on the trunk trigger wire too. I'm installing a Viper 1002 Alarm.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey Jon.

Thanks for the reply. The 2009 Honda Fit is actually a re-design, so it's completely different than the 2008 model. I've checked a bunch of different sites and haven't had any luck verifying the 2009 info!

djfearny, what wiring chart is that? it looks really good since it shows you defrost and fuel cut off.

I know, I was bummed that it was not for my car. There's a lot of good info there.

Hey folks,

Quick question - I just installed a Viper 1002 alarm this weekend on a 2009 Honda Fit Sport. Most everything went ok, but I'm having a problem with my door locks, specifically the (-) door trigger. Just to give a background - when I arm the alarm I get a chirp, a 3 second pause, then a second chirp. When armed the LED shows a series of 3 blinks, pause, 3 blinks, pause... Reading through the manual it seems that the door sensors are being bypassed.  I verified this by arming the alarm while inside the car, then manually opening the door - no trigger. Oddly after a few minutes the LED starts to blink normally at 1 blink per second. All of the door locks work when I arm / disarm, so those seem right,

So my assumption is that I have the H1/8 green (-) door trigger input [zone 3] wire hooked up to the wrong wire.  How can I test this wire, or find the right wire in my car? Specifically, what reading will I see on my voltmeter / test light when the doors are locked / unlocked? I've read through  the basic connections section on this site but I'm still a little unclear.

It's been awhile since I've installed an alarm and I know just enough to be dangerous, so any help would be very much appreciated. I've installed several alarms but I'm far from an expert, so please dumb-down your reply so I can understand you!! 09 honda fit sport 5mt alarm wiring -- posted image.

When the LED starts blinking normal if you open the door will it set off the alarm?

It sounds like you may have hooked the door pin wire up to the dome light - if the dome light stays on when you first arm the car then the alarm will chirp a 2nd time and then wait for the door pin Zone to go normal before monitoring it.

If you are looking for a (-) door pin then you would place your red lead on 12vdc and your black lead on the suspect wire.  With the door closed you won't read any voltage, with the door open you will read 12vdc.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for the reply. I can not get the door trigger to sound the alarm, regardless of how the LED is blinking. I've tried it both ways, once when the alarm is first set, and the LED is blinking in a series of 3, and once when the LED is blinking normally at 1 blink per second. I'm not getting a thing!

I'm guessing it must be the H1/8 wire door trigger wire - whatever it's connected to shows that a door is always open?
