how do you have the remote start hooked up..meaning..do you have it on Voltage Check, or Engine Check. Engine Check is the Default setting on the Sidewinder 6500 ESP. For that the Tach wire needs to be hooked up...

Lemme try and help.
If you're getting the 4 flashes on the shutdown diagnostics, check the BLACK/ white of the 6 pin harness for a propper ground.
If you're getting the 3 flashes on the shutdown diagnostics, check the violet/white of the 6 pin harness. It should go to the tach wire of the vehicle.
Oddly enough, both triggers are in the same harness. I would also check the harness.
My last ditch effort would be to delete all the transmitters using channel 10 of the Transmitter/Receiver Learn Routine. This will set the alarm to default settings. Maybe the alarm just hiccuped???
Otherwise, I'd send in the unit for service.

well after getting moved into my new house and learning that I am going to be a new father I decided to take a few minuted to myself and go out in the garage and go over my whole install one more time before blowing the truck up. and low and behold what do my wandering eyes see....a wire that is not suppose to be used being used. I activated the remote start and it actually works now. boy am I an idiot. thanks for all the help.
