Installed a viper 5901 in an 06 Acura MDX last week, bypass used was the PKH34. Install went flawlessly (minus the pain in the ass hood & trunk pin wires), and the vehicle remote started with no error's when it left my shop. A week after the install the remote start is still working, but the green key indicator is now flashing on the cluster. The vehicle will just crank and crank but no go. I reprogrammed the PKH34 and it worked fine, for another day. wth gives? Anyone seen this before? Did I hookup a wire wrong? The data provided with the PKH34 was incorrect, but I used Mitchell OnDemand and it gave me the proper wire colors. Any help is much appreciated. Nick

fortin and bypass

use the same wire colors for there bypasses

i can't see them both being wrong

i have a customer with an 06 MDX complaining about the same thing  also used a PKH34... i haven't rebooked her yet but i am planning on swapping the module out for a different brand to see if that corrects the problem....

only wire i found different was the Security LED wire was pink i think......

When you get a chance, xtac1080 and kgerry, see what color the label(red or yellow) is on the module.

The label is red. Does this mean something?

Possibly. I've used quite a few yellow labels and never had a problem, even in my own vehicle. Of the many red labels I've used for awhile now, I've had to replace a few.

I've heard so many good things about those but, they don't support D2D.

the fortin honda-sl3 is a very good bypass. it duesnt support d2d, but if you want d2d then go with fortin can-sl2 or the key-override-all.

All D2D will do is give you a power and ground for the module.  In DEI systems you still have to wire the GWR wire anyway.  So what is the difference for it????? Doesn't matter to me when it comes to a regular bypass.  It would only matter on the CAN-SL2 and DLPK.
