06 dodge 3500, remote start

OK..working with a Dodge 3500 truck, diesel.  Wiring diagram is showing a (-) PURPLE / brown that is a second starter wire and is negative trigger thru an 180 ohm resistor and say must use a relay.  No problem on the relay part....BUT this is what confised me!  Wiring also shows the Accessory is the same as the second starter wire above and shows it is a negative trigger thru a 610 ohm resistor and also must use a relay.

My question is this....can I make 1 tap off this PURPLE / brown wire, run my resistors off that tap and then to the relays??  Essentially...its the same as making 2 separate taps, correct?? 

Fill me in if I'm wrong!!  And thanks in advance for the help!
