  • So you can sit in the car, after removing ignition key and opening then closing the driver's door, and use the interior lock switch to arm the factory security system? If yes, then no arming wire is need.

4. The factory security system will arm, when you lock the doors with the aftermarket R/S remotes.

  • When you exit the vehicle and either manually lock the door with the key or use the factory remotes, the factory security system arms? If yes, then the arming wire must be located.

4. This can be found coming from the driver's door or at the factory security system module, as well as other locations.

Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

It appears that I have option #2.  I currently don't have anything connected from the R/S to the door alarm enable.  When I use the R/S remote to lock the doors when the drivers door is open the security system will arm.  If I lock the doors after I close the drivers door it will not.

Other then that everything else is working great.  Thanks

Ok so one more thing came up.  I have been working on the car and for some reason the horn honk stopped working.  I checked my connections and even re connected and tested with jumpers to make sure the horn still works.  But when I use the remote it doesn't.  It is possible there is a setting in the brain that may have changed when I disconnected the battery?
