No need to diode isolate the door lcoks wires. You will need to diode isolate the door trigger wires if your installing a alarm or remote starter on a manula transmission vehicle. Use this diagram:

what size diodes do i use for door triggers when istalling my alarm? 01 sunfire. thx.

1 amp diodes are more than fine.

stupid question......i'm doing an alarm install (first timer), and need to know what's the best way to connect my alarm wires. do you just tap in(with a blade)and tape it?

hello all, i'm almost done installing my new car alarm in an 01 Sunfire, however i'm stuck trying to wire to the door locks. i have 6 wires to choose from and not one gives any pos. voltage. any help would be appreciated.
