i just did a 2000 about a month ago and no there is no plate. you have to use adtermarket switches or replace the door panels. what brand of windows are you using??
drop a line if you need help picking out some switches.
Good Luck

i used switch lit #33040147 and it worked great.
go to spal-usa.com and click on power windows. then click on switch kits. it will under the flush mount kits.
that will show you what they look like.
Good Luck

don't know if the kit # above refers to this kit or not, but the Spal Joker kit has "pods" for the switches, kinda goofy, but still OK. Painted to match they look much better. They can also potentially cover up the hand crank hole. I have done a few S-10's with the Euro trim rings and near flush switches, looks nice and clean. But i used Electric-Life OEM conversion kits.
But for top points, i would go for the clean factory look and get a powered S-10 door panels. or
cap the hand crank holes and go for a center console switch panel.
