Is it ok to mount the amp to the speaker box? i've done it before and i seen alot of installs done that way, i was just wondering if its not good for the amp or is it ok. does it matter if its on the back, the side or the top does it make a difference. i have never had any problems doing it this way but i read somewhere that it could mess up your amp.
If the trunk dont rattle then its not loud.
If it's to loud then you're to old.

I did it once and wouldnt do it again. It rattled my cap remote wire screw loose. I had to open it to fix it. The amp still works but I hope nothin got damaged. I would put it somewhere else.

I agree...it's a DEAD last resort for mounting.  think about it! if you ever have to remove the box you'd have to disconnect the amp...becomes a pain!  find another spot.  what kind of vehicle....make /model!  we can give you some options if you're having trouble finding a spot.

A long time ago I used a board with carpet and just laid it on the trunk floor. With carpet agaisnt carpet it shouldnt move too much. Or just use some brackets. I wouldnt take out the spare tire for a stereo system unless the car is comp. U would look like a dufuss with a flat tire on the roadside w/o a spare cause your stereo is so dope.
