Great Information richl68. Thanks

Would you happen to have the information on the wiring for the back up cam too? Or a schmatic drawings that would include the camera circuit?

Thanks in advance.

Question about the door Trigger.

Has anyone used this for door trigger, as it stays on for a few seconds after door is closed?

I used each individual door trigger. two under the passenger kick plate for that side. One in driver's kick plate and one under the flashing by you knees below the column. They work great for my Amp Research Power Steps.

Hi,

I have lock/unlock issues, the doors lock fine but does not unlock when disarmed, I have factory keyless entry but no factory alarm, I am using the following wires.(I am using the Neg door lock/unlock). The alarm/remote start I am installing is the viper 5901.

Thanks for all the help!!

Factory Alarm Armlt. blue to purple-driver kick, blue 17 pin plug, pin 14
Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder. This wire will also lock the doors.
Factory Alarm Disarmpink to black (double pulse)-driver kick, blue 17 pin plug, pin 16

Did you program double pulse for your unlock or disarm? when you goto unlock the door if you hit the unlock button twice does the doors unlock?

I got it figured out, the unlock alarm wire was not connected properly, Thank you rich168.

I got everything to work but not sure if there is a problem of what i did. I had to jump the ACCESSORY and the SECOND IGNITION wire for the AC to work when remote starting. The second ignition wire from the viper 5901 did not output +12v when remote starting.

Doing what I did solved the issue BUT I am wondering if this will be a problem later on?

Any and all input will be appreciated.

Many thanks!

your 2nd ignition wire is pink/white? in the manual for the remote start i believe you can change the 2nd ign to 2nd acc

wiring diagrams are nice but sometimes they can be wrong, ive come across plenty of cases when it says it is ign but ends up being a acc wire.

You are right about the 2nd ignition wire, its pink/white. I did try to change it to 2nd acc throught the alarm but no luck, it only outputs 0.2 v when starting, i guess its just enough to drive a relay (will  i need a relay? )

Its working fine so far as i have it wired!

Just got mine installed yesterday. Working good so far.

Only thing is i have to unlock the doors before i remote start because i can disarm the alarm with it running but it won't unlock the door with the truck running through the viper.... i think it might be a menu setting. Gonna have to look and make sure though.
