Do you have a switch to turn them on...? I would start there...! Do you have a meter...? If the answer is NO to the second question...Buy one or take it to a shop...!

is there just an on and off switch for the heated seat ?   it looks like there is a dark GREEN/ violet that gets grounded through the switch to turn them on

joe , there is a button on the side of the seat that you push and a led lights up beside it , the seat turns on and turns itself off after about 10 minutes and the led goes out. it will not turn back on unless you push the button again so it think there is a timer in the circuit, so do you think i could run a neg pulse from my trunk pop to the dkgn/vi wire ?
thanks alot , ed

If you have either an auxiliary channel or a dedicated defroster output from your remote start available, and it can be programmed to send a momentary pulse, you can just connect that wire directly to the momentary wire from the switch(assuming it pulses (-), of course).
