Is it possible that I need to hook up both motors to the module for it to work? I have so far only been testing one side

I can see no reason that you would have to have both windows connected for one to work.   You did cut the loop, right?    You did cut both wires between the switch and the motoor?   Also, it is important to connect the correct wire to the switch end and to the motor end.

ok so I found the problem. the module relays just connect the switch to the motor and thats fine if when the switch is at rest both wires are grounded but in my car both wires are open at rest so when the relay in the window module kicks in it sends power to one wire but nothing to the other wire because its not grounded, so thats the problem.
how do I solve it?

I've already given you the answers, 4 relays (clunky), change the switches for spal type silly or get a 530t which well cover open circuit at rest windows.

If the diagram you posted is the actual diagram for your windows, they are rest at ground.

There has to be a section in the instructions covering open circuit at rest if not, sling the Wolf unit and get a 530t instead. This has gone on too long.

well I figured it out, I think. I just ran the wires that are supposed to go to the switch to ground, that won't burn anything up will it? they work well now, except the vent doesn't work. I don't know why.
plus one of the paths on the circuit board were burnt and disconnected, I had to resoldered it
