u said joined from pink to 86
ok so there is
ignition switch
red wire 12v do i cut this or just run all my 12v constants?
purple starter wire do i cut this or ?
pink do i cut this or just join the pink ignition wire to pink on the alarm
and brown
and you are saying keyside so i am assuming that is right next to the ignition switch so i would have to cut this wire correct one side is
key side and other is starter side which is the wire going to the
starter right
this is just ridiculous i feel like an idiot

Did you connect the wire to the footbrake?  If you did not connect it, and you remote start the car, the remote start will keep the car running for 10 minutes.  The brake wire kills the car when the brake is depressed.

Ground to ignition switch?  No such thing back then (in the 90s some Range Rovers and Jags and more recently Chrysler through multiplexing but back then, no way!  Your car will have 12v+ constant, 12v+ ACC, 12v+ ignition and 12v+  starter. All but the constant will read ground at rest, the acc will drop out on cranking. There might be a second ignition that also drops on cranking, this controls secondary circuits such as heater blower, AC rear defog wipers etc. Ignition circuits that are not involved with engine start.  The more you post the more I think you shouldn't give up the day job.
