Here is what I have on the door locks now.

On the plug for the switch I have a pink / YELLOW wire that show power only when pushed to lock. A pink/lt green wire that has power only when pushed to unlock. Then I have a black wire for ground, a GREEN/ YELLOW wire that has constant power along with the illumination wire(which most say don't count).

So from what the information states here this would be a positive lock system?

Thanks!

Well, it could be the 5 wire as you stated before and the previous wiring information I found could be wrong.

The 5 wire does not mean there are exactly 5 wires but that there could be 4 or 6 wires instead of 5. Well not counting the illumination I have 4 wires then. One constant power, one ground, lock wire and unlock wire.

Thanks!

You could just give the suspected wire a 12v pulse and see if it unlocks...I'm thinking it is the output on the unit as opposed to having to 5 wire that car...I have a 98 Grand Marquis...Been awhile...But it has the pad on the door and the wires were just a + trigger...Maybe you could wire up a relay for + pulse and see if that works...I dont think we ever got the model # of the unit...Re-read the door lock wiring description in the install manual...
