Hey! Well, I have a 1994 GMC Safari and had a ProStart ct5000 installed by a local store. Worst mistake of my life. Well everytime the battery dies on the vehicle I'd go back to the stre and pay them 60 bucks to re-program it.
Now after 4 times I'm kinda fe up and I want to learn how to reprogram it myself. So anyways here we go.
First I try to flash the module by holding the hood pin for 4 seconds and then releaseing, pressing it down and letting go, for some reason it doesn't work, any tips?

By the way, for some reason, my parking brake lights won turn on during any procedure...

when you remote start or unlock, does the parking lights flash?

the unit even if the battery dies on the car, it should not dump the remotes from its memory.

No there is no response from the vehicle, no lights turn on nor even a sound.

Try unplugging the main harness from the remote start module wait a few seconds then plug it back in and press the start button on the remote.

Do it right the first time, only a doctor can bury his mistakes.
