Hey guys im going to install the python 5902 remote start/alarm on my 2005 chrysler 300c. Ive bought all the the parts for the install. just need to know what locations are good spots in the car to hide or work the best. the parts I have are
-5902 remote start/alarm with color 2-way lcd remote
- xpresskits canmax400 firmwire:DLPKKICH8(which is stand alone) (what the difference between canmax400 and canmax400DEI?)
- xkeychgm transponder key
- digital tilt sensor( 507m)
- backup battery system(520t)
- audio system- glass break sensor(506t)
- mini in car siren (513t)
I hope this all i need in parts. when I checked xpresskits.com snd put my vehicle info in. It show I would need canmax400dei and the xkeychgm
instead of the canmax400. did I order the wrong one? or can I still use this bypass? I want to hook system up the D2D( data to data) way.seems like less time hooking system up this way. what install hardware or materials will I need for alarm install. This is my 1st alarm system install.

One of the differences between the canmax400 and the canmax400dei is that the dei is dockable. Additionally, I don't believe they have identical vehicle functionality, hence that may be why the wizard specified the dei vice the other.

so would the canmax 400 work with my install? or do I have to send it back for a canmax400DEI? also since I have a canmax400 with the firmwire DLPKKICH8 is this the correct bypass module for my 2005 300c?

Sorry, I meant to say "that may be why the wizard specified the canmax400 vice the canmax400dei".
They may both work for you vehicle, I don't know. I'd go by whatever the vehicle compatibility chart says. Having a docked version is a little cleaner, but I think the dei is more expensive.

I called them at xpresskits and they told me I can use the canmax400 for the install with the alarm and remote start. He said most people use the canmax400 vs the canmax400dei cause you can use the canmax400 with a standalone remote start or remote start/alarm combo. the canmax400dei can not be a standalone with a remote start? when people use the canmax400dei , they like how it mount onto the remote start/alarm responder box, that the difference. I just have to buy the xloader2 to download the firmware for my car and load it to the canmax400. also he said it would be better it do to wire to wire (w2w) install vs the data to data(d2d) has anyone have any issues with chrysler's or 300's doing the D2D install vs the W2W install? the D2D install is shorter install time I think. But a pain trying to find which data point is not working.

yeah 5902 is viper, I have the 592 or 5902 python is the same thing. just different shape remote, thats all. I called them (dei) they said that its built inside. thanks for the reply. also, just got the bitwritter 2.7 today so I can program the system vs guessing what the heck Im programming. lol! The guy at DEI said I should hook it up w2w vs D2D. D2D I would use less wires. Another thing, once I program and hook up the canmax400 bypass d2d I cant go back and program it to w2w. so what ever I have to choose, I cant go back once It programmed. whats better, d2d or w2w with the DEI alarms? It going in a 2005 chrysler 300c
