91 Ford Thunderbird, Door Lock System

I need a hand working on a 91 ford thunderbird.  I found all of the write wires with the database info however my doorlocks are not working with they alarm.  I don't understand the diagram for 5 wire alternating positive door locks.  I cut the wires inside the car and ran them to relays.  was that write or do you have to remove the door panel and cut the wires  between the switch and the motor leg in the door it-self.. 

Now that I am thinking about it after cutting the wires I should be able to test each end of the wire to see witch end comes from the switch and the other should go to the motor leg.  I just want to be sure.

the other question was about the tach wire for remote start.  the car started with out it so do I really need to run it.

First off, does the Thunderbird have a OEM keyless entry or no ? If  it DOES then the system is a normal positive pulse door lock system where you will need to add two relays ( unless the remote starter has alternating (-) & (+) pulses )
