the vechiles not running when you tried it.
if the vehicle is running you will see it flash fast and that will lets you know that there is a tach signal
the flash rate for most astrostarts i have seen is about 2-3 per second for fault codes
with about a 2-3 second gap before it repeats

ya i got in the truck looked down at the brain and hit the botton and then it blinked to quick??? im really confused with this whoel thing

ok when you push the button it will flash fast indicating that it recevied the remote.
after you push that button and it lights up the park lights and does not start
you want to count them after that. not while pushing the button on the remote

after my truck fails to start and after a few seconds the led light on the brain blinks 5 times

yep its your hood pin for the remote starter giving you problems.
it will have to be adjusted or replaced to make the remote start work.
it is a safety device so i would not just take it out but you can give it a try by disconnecting the BLACK/ red wire from the hood pin and tring it then to confirm that is the problem.
if broken they are cheap to replace most places have them for under 2 dollars.

unplugged the hoodpin and tryed to start the veichel and still fails to start and blinks 5 times

check the wire coming through the fire wall make sure its not cut through there

If wire looks ok
Them try groundng it and trying to start it may been it as normail closed
