with your head under the dash, there are 2 huge grommets for factory wires. one black(lower) and grey (higher) towards the left

i used the black one since it was easier to get access to in the engine bay.

i used a bracket to mount my spring hood pin towards the right side of the engine bay.

also, for door locks you dont need relays. they work fine with the outputs on the unit. Depending on model, some require 1500ohm to unlock, i used 500 ohm and it worked fine.

defrost is also very easy to get to behind the hvac controls. no relay required. you need a latched (-) signal.

I am actually working on the door locks now.  So I do not need relays?  From what I can see its a 1 wire (-) system and I have a lock and unlock wire to tie into it.  How do I go about this?

Thanks for everybody's help, I don't think I could've gotten through this without it!

Attach your lock (-) output from the R/S directly to the cars lock/unlock wire.  Attach the R/S's unlock wire  to a 1500 ohm resister and then attach the other end of the resister to the cars locl/unlock wire ( same wire that lock is attached to ).
Soldering is fun!

it uses a resistor to unlock. this 1 wire system is called a multiplex.

As mentioned before, my tech sheet said 500, and another said 1500. I used 500 and it worked fine.

white wire in the DKP, it comes through a black rectangular plug with a blue cap. you cant miss it. connect lock straight to this wire, connect the unlock with resistor inline.

If you use the tan wire, its for the driver priority unlock (reverse polarity = relay required)
