I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid (manufactured 12/1998). I have searched this site for the diagram but the only one I found gives me colors that do not match the colors I have. I believe the colors that are posted are the ones behind the radio, however, I am in the drivers door and I have GREEN/ black and a GREEN/ purple wires for the mid range speaker and for the tweeter I have yellow/black and yellow/red. Does anyone know which is (+) and which is (-)? I haven't got to the passenger side yet but if you know what is there as well please post that too. I am just replacing the factory speakers and radio, not adding an amp or I would just run all new wires. I believe the car has a factory amp but I'm not sure.

test polarity on the factory speaker that will tell you what wire was + or - (you know- buy popping with a 9v battery positive on positve will make speaker push out)

once you find out one speaker, notice how the factory disconnect plug is configured like (clip side facing the speaker -- left wire is positive. this will be the same throughout car.
