Alarm Viper 5701, with a DLPKGM and 508D sensor.

Cars: Yukon XL 1500, 2001 and Buick Randevuz 2002

The car alarms have changed :) they have become way more sophisticated as cars also did with electronicks. I have a degree in electronicks and 25 years experiance in electrical and controll work, but this is a challenge for me, and probably others. I desided to start this thread for the Viper 5701 to find answers to more questions and also as Kreg suggested in this thread that has additional info. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~123720~get~last#609012

Anyway heres my first question to the experts, how to find the newtral wire in the Yukon and Buick

And second what wires I need to connect with the DPLPKGM

Thanks.

I connected D2D module to the Viper 5701, from what I am looking at theres only 2 wires to connect. Where do they connect on the yukon ?

Ignition 1 goes to the Pink wire at the ignition switch harness.  Should be the same one you used for the Viper Ignition 1 connection, H3/1.

The Data OBD2 goes to the OBD connector Pin 2 under the steering column.  Its the "Diagnostic " connector...

Yes, that's it.  Bottom of the drivers side lower dash panel.  The shape is the same as the instruction diagram.

The alarm works ! the ignition cranks, but the car dont start.

I changed the crank seconds up to 4 and it does not start. The DPLGM LED is on but I think I didnot program it proprly. This is the final step help please !!! the 4 weeks alarm project is almost finished :)

OK, things to check or double check.

1. Viper D2D jumpers - set to external.  Assuming you set it up to run D2D and not W2W.

2. Did you connect Tach wire?  If yes, did you change Menu 3, Menu Item 2, Option 4?

3.  If running in Tach Mode, did you do Tach Learn procedure?

4.  If it still won't start, re-program the DLPKGM and make note of any diviations from guide.

Does everything else work?  Door Lock, unlock, Parking Lights, etc?
