Thank you!
Anyone know what wire the factory Toyota 'chirp' is when locking and unlocking? And can this be used with the pulsed negative horn output on the viper? I would much rather use that than the horn. No factory alarm if that helps..
Thank you!

Also since I do not have the factory alarm, is there anyway to use the door sense input or trunk pin input to trigger an alert to be sent to the remote so at least I know if someone opens a door or the trunk even if it doesnt sound any alarm?
Just thinking ahead...

And one (hopefully last install issue, there are two Blk/Orange wires in the grey connector to the right of the steering column. How do you test to determine which one is the tach wire?
Thank you

Tach signals are AC.  Set your DMM to 20V AC, Black lead to chassis ground & Red lead to suspect wire.  Signal should be between 0.5V and 6V AC and rise with RPM's.

The setup is working, I figured I would try the virtual tach and it works well. Do you see any reason or preference for the wired tach?
Any ideas on the Toyota chirp wire?
Thanks,
Bill

Two remaining issues...
1. Toyota chirp wire ?
and
2. Trunk release keeps blowing fuse, I have only gone to 15 amp so not sure if its a higher current circuit?
Trunk is wired as follows
Constant 12v feeding 2 relays (one for ignition 2 as in beginning of post and one for the trunk release) on 86 & 87 from ignition 12v constant
85- H1/12 RED / White
30- WHITE/ Blue Trunk wire in D/s kick panel
When WHITE/ Blue is disconnected from 30 on relay fuse doesnt blow and relay clicks..
Factory remote trunk release continues to work as normal..
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Bill

Trunk release is a 5 Wire Reverse setup, not a straight positive.  Use this diagram to wire-up the SPDT relay :

Tach mode is more reliable in cold climates, so depending on where you are in VA, Virtual Tach might be OK.  Another place to try for a tach signal on Toyota's is at Pin 9 of the OBD2 diagnostic connector.  Usually a Black wire.

Haven't heard of anyone having luck tapping into the vehicles' tone chip.

With that hook up (I assume the positive diagram) will the factory trunk release still work from a factory remote? Just curious..
Thank you

Yes the Factory Trunk release will still operate normally.  With a SPDT relay, when not energized, Pin 30 is connected to Pin 87A.  That makes the

cars cut trunk release wire "normally" connected and the Factory release signal gets thru.

Your Viper H1/1 RED / White (-) 200mA Trunk release wire is a negative pulse, so use the top diagram.
