I did a remote starter on an 05 Saturn Vue and i used a avital 4103 and i know it has the passlock 2 system. I did the wiring for the passlock the old school way with the resister but not the icon on the dash of the car with the lock stays on solid even when u start the car with the key. I cut the yellow wire and the car side i put the resister and the other yellow side i left taped up connected to nothing. Does anyone kno how to get the icon to turn off. Thanks in advance

Let me ask you something ? Does the vehicle still start with the other end of the yellow wire hooked up to nothing? An it sounds like the car is on safe mode .The resistor actually goes the black or ORANGE / black pass lock ground wire.Go to audiovox tech services an u will see the correct way to do the resistor and relays for passlock 2 .im really surprise if the car started. You should connect back the cot passlock wires and TURN THE IGNITION ON for about 15 to 20 minutes an this should take it out of safe mode then do the resistor and relay setup

what he said. The passlock wire must be connected using a relay so that when the relay is not activated, the wire is connected as normal. And when you remote start it, it will temporarily disconnect the switch and run through the proper resistor.

Yes the car works fine. It starts even with the wire not hooked up to nothing. How i did  it was i read the resistance and i cut the yellow wire and i put one side of the resister to the yellow side of the car and the other side of the resister to the orange and black.  The yellow key side of the wire is left alone.

You need to use the two-relay method as follows:

Relay 1:

86 - Ignition

87 - Ground

30+85 with diode to (-) start output

Relay 2:

86 - Ignition

87 - Black or Org/Blk with correct resistor

87a - Switch side of Yellow

30 - BCM side of Yellow

85 - to 30 on Relay 1
