Thank you, I will splice it into a 12v constant tomorrow.

Oh, and I have the lights flashing as designed, I thought the little squares cast into the plastic were supposed to be holes, and the jumper clips were for something else. I guess I am just over thinking this thing python 1401 polarity jumper/fuse - Page 2 -- posted image.
