Anything that has mass can be a potential problem. The larger the mass the farther it can be detected, depending how the sensor was adjusted. Many times heavy rain can set it off. So cats may set it off if they climb on your car. When I usually install them, I install a toggle switch so it can be turned off, if necessary. Edit: as howie said, you can always install it in the headliner. It helps but still has the potential of falsing.This information is provided only as a reference.
