hey all
i would like to put together a set of LED's, say green, yellow, red to show the water temp in my car, basically to work off the original temp switch (NTC) thyristor. also, a set of led's to work off the fuel guage sender (variable resistor), any help would be greatly appreciated

Plenty of circuits or kits in webland typically using the LM3914 10-LED dot/bar driver etc (eg, another 16 LED uA device whose name escapes me).
You'll have to determine the upper and lower "range" voltages applicable.
And probably add an RC filter to the input - especially if an olde vehicle with a mechanical voltage regulator (they pulse like a flasher can, hence pulsing signals from fuel and temp senders).
And you'll hope that the sender voltage is linear - ie, proportional or reasonably similar to what the temp or level is, and hence what the gauges should indicate.
Confirm too if voltage increases with increasing level or temp. Some gauges work the opposite way.
