TEST!!! Shut the door, see if the dome light stays on when set to door then does it shut down immediately you lock the car?
If no to the first part and and no to the second then you need it but at this stage how important is dome light supervision?
NOT A GREEN WIRE, a GREEN PLUG.

Wow 41 posts and we didn't even get to the questions of how to interface the 5704 with the aftermarket doorlocks or the 530T Window module to the aftermarket windows...
You are not listening to us. Have you gone out to your car and looked for the Green Alarm plug yet? The dash panel under the steering wheel comes off with almost no effort at all. You keep asking if your particular model Civic would have that plug. Only you can tell us...Go look for it. Do you realize that Dome light supervision is not needed for the alarm and remote starter to function and that is completely optional. You have so many other wires to connect to...Also, the DX is a very base model car, thats why aftermarket locks and windows were added. Is your car a manual transmission too? You haven't even gotten to the questions on you to bypass the clutch safety switch during remote start...
A quick Google Images search for "honda civic green alarm plug" came right up with a picture of the plug. I will post it here. The green plug is where the upper blue arrow is pointing. That is under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Look for the blue tape like I mentioned earlier.

Oh and the coin pocket comes out easy too. there is one phillips head screw when you open it, at the top. and then the bottom unclips.
