Installed and tested, every thing operates flawlessly except for the trunk release. I am currently not even getting a signal from the pin on the brain when the trunk release button is pushed. Is it possible one of my onboard relays is faulty, as I also hear no click when I activate the trunk release?

The button pn the remote needs to be held for a few seconds.

Define a few seconds, as I've been holding the button up to 5 seconds and still have no response.

I have yet to try that but I'm pretty sure that I shouldn't have to do that. Is there an inboard relay for the trunk release?

what i'm getting at is some of those units have to be unlocked to activate the trunk command.  if we press lock on the avital remote, the avital locks the vehicle doors.  if we do not use the remote to unlock the vehicle doors, the brain is still locked or in an armed state.  So I was just making sure the unit is unlocked first, then try the trunk command.  What year, make and model is this installed in?

Application vehicle is a 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 4dr. The vehicle has no factory alarm or immobilizer. Also whenever I have tested to wire I've opened it with the remote, therefore the brain should be "unlocked/unarmed"

Do the parking lights flash or anything making it seem like a command was received? Also, how did you connect the trunk release?

No conformation flashes whatsoever. I disconnected the trigger from the relay I had also installed to change polarities, I've been using a test lamp to test the trigger. I've also tried both remotes, same outcome.

Did you at any time connect the output directly to the trunk release wire in the vehicle (without the relay)?
