Just making sure. I made that mistake once (didn't read the diagram closely and didn't test first either avital 4103 problem - Page 2 -- posted image. And it ended up frying the output of the module. Either way, if everything else is working, you know that the antenna is good and if you are getting nothing out of the output, I would have to say the output is dead. I don't know of any programming that would turn the output off...

That's what I was fearing. I might open the brain up and see if I can find any burnt up connections, have my neighbor fix it at his cb radio repair shop.

Just as a possibility, where did you ground the system? And you do have the ignition wires connected correctly right?

Grounded the system on the kickpanel and hooked up the 2 red, orange, purple, and yellow wire. I did not install the pink/white wire as I was told there was no need.

I am going to assume that by 'on the kickpanel' you mean the metal behind the kick panel... lol. From what I can tell, you seem to have everything correct... so I'd have to say its a bad module. Did you buy it new or used?

Just a thought it shouldn't have anything to do with your issue but what yellow wire did you connect ? Also I didn't see the main pink ingition wire listed in your connections

I made a mistake typing. I said yellow when it should have been pink. Oopps. None the less all ignition connections from the box were made, except the pink/white. Yeah it's the panel itself not te covet the ground is connected to lol. Was bought new at a mustang tuning shop (go figure!)

How exactly are you testing the Output from the 4103...? Is your test light the style that plugs into the Cig Plug or the Tester with just a clip on the end? Though it is possible th unit has a bad output, i have not seen one of those units with a Bad Trunk Output, out-of-the-box. By no means does that not mean yours is bad... When you apply 12volts to the Trunk/Glass release, does it open?

My test lamp consists of two alligator clip leads and a dash light bulb. Positive connected to a battery terminal on the fuse box and negative lead connected to the output wire. I have tested this method on the ground when locked output and it indeed does work. Trunk switch is still fully operational.
