I don't want to connect all the lights or locks to this unit. I have a dodge ram 1500 SLT . I want to install it as a start only . What wires do I use to make this happen as a stater only button. Do I need relays?

ignition,ground,12 volt constant, starter, maybe tach wire,i sure you may need a ignition bypass.
But you should also know what you are doing.

You would definitely need a bypass unit. You could get something like Fortin INT-SL or idatalink ADS-TB.
As for wiring in the truck, 1prix gave most of them.
You may need a relay for the 2nd Accessory wire. Otherwise it's the ignition wires and a tach wire connection.
12volts      red (40A)      +      ignition harness
Starter      yellow or yellow/orange      +      ignition harness or starter button (SRT-10)
Second Starter      N/A
Ignition      pink/white      +      ignition harness
Second Ignition      pink/lt. green      +      ignition harness
Third Ignition      N/A
Accessory      dk. blue and pink / YELLOW (16 AWG)      +      ignition harness
Second Accessory      pink / YELLOW (14 AWG)      +      ignition harness
Keysense      PURPLE / tan      -      ignition harness
Tachometer      dk. blue/gray      ac      PCM, orange plug, pin 34
Notes: The PCM is on the passenger side firewall.
On SRT-10 models, the tach wire is in the black plug, pin 18.
On diesel models, the tach wire is at the ECM on the lower driver side of the engine, 60 pin plug, pin 24, or at the camshaft position sensor just left of the ECM, in a 3 pin plug.
On gas models, can also go to any ignition coil or fuel injector and use the wire that is NOT BROWN / white.

Even though you said you weren't interested in doing locks or parking lights, but for a few more dollars, you can instead get the Fortin EVO-ALL or the idatalink ADS-AL CA and that would control locks, factory alarm arm/disarm, and tach signal thru the data wires as well as the immobilizer bypass.
The only optional wire you would connect (if interested) is the parking light wire.
Also, I don't believe the previous bypass units I mentioned disarm the factory alarm, so you will have to wire that up to (only if you use the ADS-TB or INT-SL).
Factory Alarm Arm      PURPLE / lt. blue      - 644 ohms      driver kick, door harness
Notes: This will also do door locks. Arm/lock is negative trigger thru a 644 ohm resistor. Disarm/unlock is negative trigger thru a 1565 ohm resistor. Single pulse will do disarm without unlocking the doors. Unlock requires a double pulse. MUST use relays.
Factory Alarm Disarm      same as factory alarm arm wire      -1565 ohms
Disarm No Unlock      see factory alarm disarm

I used the idatalink ads alsl ch on my dad's '04 Ram 1500, and it controlled the brake, tach, factory arm/disarm, and door locks. The horn is dark GREEN/ purple in the steering column harness if you don't have a siren.
