No relay needed as the Avitol is negative output for the disarm. And the Escape is: Factory Alarm Disarm blue/lt green (-) DKP or 26 pin plug @ GEM

That car should automatically disarm with remote start. If you're only installing a 1-button, I wouldn't worry about disarm.

Which when remote started will unlock when the remote button is pushed again. So he need's it hooked up if he wants to use the unlock function as the disarm wire also unlocks the doors.

Sometimes after the truck sits for a long time, The truck will start but the horn will be honking because the factory alarm is going off. I believe this will take care of it. Will this do the unlock with this wire as well, I do lots of these things and never have this happen.

Typically a single pulse will disarm and a double pulse on the disarm wire will unlock doors.

If it doesn't unlock with the disarm, then diode isolate (Band towards the viper)to both the unlock and disarm, from the viper unlock. As the arm wire does lock the doors.
